Singer/Songwriter Matt Hires made his recording debut at the age of 23, introducing his confessional songcraft with his first solo album, Take Us to the Start. Influenced by artists from Dashboard Confessional and the Get Up Kids to Bob Dylan and Tom Petty, Hires began writing music during his late teens, when his father gave him a handmade 1977 acoustic guitar. He has toured extensively since 2008, supporting artists such as Needtobreathe, Matchbox 20, Parachute, Paolo Nutini, the Goo Goo Dolls and may others. MikelParis has trekked to some pretty interesting places while on tour with O.A.R., and he turned some of these visits into his very cool video series, TuneTrek. Well, this spring he's bringing a twist to the TuneTrek and calling it HouseTrek! Not only will Paris be visiting more great locales, but he's incorporating house concerts in those locations. What's a house concert? It's an intimate performance in a setting where people can gather and experience live music in relatively small rooms, with friends and neighbors. We are absolutely thrilled to present Paris and his HouseTrek at the Ross Farm.
