Stephen Kellogg

The Ross Farm 135 N Maple Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ, United States

During a summer tour that is taking Stephen Kellogg coast to coast with stops at acclaimed festivals such as Telluride Bluegrass Festival in Colorado and AMERICANAFEST in Nashville, the artist returns to the Ross Farm this Saturday, June 22. Kellogg released his latest record “Objects in the Mirror” in late 2018 and has been busily touring in support of that release. Kellogg played a solo set at the Farm last June, and this year he is bringing a full band plus an opener, Ross Farm favorite Brooks Hubbard Band. The gates will open at 6 p.m. and the music will begin at 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to spread out on the lawn, and Minuteman Smokehouse & Grill will be on site selling dinner before and during the concert. Stephen’s newest album “Objects in the Mirror ” was recorded over the course of a single week in Nashville, TN. Produced by Will Hoge and featuring 12 songs that explore American life in 2018, the decision was made to track the band live, keeping the results intact with minimal overdubs. Stephen described the process, "I wanted to make an album that sounded and felt like […]

The End of America

The Ross Farm 135 N Maple Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ, United States

We are so happy The End of America will be with us again on Saturday, July 27! Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. Donate now! The End of America quickly became a Ross Farm favorite when they appeared during our very first season of live music in the Music Room. It was clear that the house was not going to be big enough to hold the crowd that this band draws! Mark your calendars now for this outdoor concert. The End of America is a band of friends who met on the road and found a kindred spirit in one another. The Philadelphia/NYC trio credit their name to Kerouac’s On The Road -- relating to travelling “across the groaning continent” in search of inspiration. The sound is centered on their voices, weaving three distinct leads into captivating harmonies over a solid foundation of folk, rock, and Americana. Fans often draw comparison to Crosby Stills Nash and Young, The Avett Brothers, and Dawes. James Downes, Trevor Leonard and Brendon Thomas were all frontmen of other projects. In 2010 they joined forces to record their live debut EP, Steep Bay. Since then they have […]

We are excited to kick off our 2021 Ross Farm Music Series with Fantastic Cat! The band is made up of four singer-songwriters including two Ross Farm alum Anthony D’Amato and Brian Dunne, as well as Hollis Brown frontman Mike Montali and Don DiLego who came together for a unique project where they could each bring their own element – and songs – to the table. The project was not a significant shift for each of the songwriters, but allowed a space for each to explore the music outside of solo performances. D’Amato remarked in an American Songwriter article, “Everyone brings their songwriting chops to the table, of course, and I think that’s the foundation of this entire project. We’re all fans of each other’s writing, but on top of that, Don’s a great engineer and producer, Brian’s a killer guitar player, Mike’s a phenomenal singer – and I bring snacks.” DiLego added “The veil of personal artistic pressure was lifted a bit from each of our own individual projects. We are delighted to welcome Christian Lopez back to the Ross Farm this fall! It’s hard to imagine a Ross Farm Music Series season without this young man who first played in the Barn on an unusually cold October afternoon in 2015. He stole a lot of hearts that day and it’s been our pleasure to host him every year since, with the exception of 2020 when everything was put on hold for the pandemic. For those who may not have seen Christian Lopez yet, he is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Martinsburg, WV. His mother, a music teacher, steeped him in piano beginning at the age of 5 and guitar soon after. He began songwriting in his early teenage years, and in 2014, signed his first record deal with Blaster Records. At 18, he recorded his LP, “Pilot,” followed by his debut full length album “Onward” in 2015, both produced by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb, also known for his work with Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson and […]
