Autumn Acoustic Afternoon featuring JD Eicher with special guests Christian Lopez and Butch Parnell

The Ross Farm 135 N Maple Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ, United States

Singer-songwriter JD Eicher’s soaring and graceful pop-songcraft has garnered favorable comparisons to The Script, The Killers and Death Cab for Cutie, and has been used in movies, television and commercials. His latest record, Into Place, represents a 'coming of age, comfort in who you are.' This hard-working musician maintains a busy touring schedule on his own and with his band, The Goodnights! JD will have family in the crowd for this show, as his aunt and uncle live in Basking Ridge! Christian Lopez is a 19-year-old with the soul of a 65-year-old Appalachian bluegrass musician, steeped in the roots of his West Virginia upbringing. His influences run the range from Kris Kristofferson, Jackson Browne and James Taylor to AC/DC, Pink Floyd and Van Halen! He currently has a video from his album, Onward, on CMT's 12-Pack Countdown, and was named "Best Newcomer" at Nashville's AmericanaFest this month! Butch Parnell is a singer-songwriter from North Carolina, and lead singer of Runaway Dorothy. They have toured the Midwest several times over and found success at festivals such as SXSW in Austin, TX and CMJ in NYC. This will be Parnell's second visit to Basking Ridge, as he generously donated his time to […]

Autumn Acoustic Afternoon at the Ross Farm featuring Matt Hires with the opener, The End of America.

The Ross Farm 135 N Maple Ave, Basking Ridge, NJ, United States

Singer/Songwriter Matt Hires made his recording debut at the age of 23, introducing his confessional songcraft with his first solo album, Take Us to the Start. Influenced by artists from Dashboard Confessional and the Get Up Kids to Bob Dylan and Tom Petty, Hires began writing music during his late teens, when his father gave him a handmade 1977 acoustic guitar. He has toured extensively since 2008, supporting artists such as Needtobreathe, Matchbox 20, Parachute, Paolo Nutini, the Goo Goo Dolls and may others. His songs have been heard on TV shows including Grey’s Anatomy, Private Practice, Cougartown, Life Unexpected and more. His latest album is This World Won’t Last Forever, But Tonight We Can Pretend. The End of America is not some grand political statement. It is a band of friends, singers, and travelers. Blending three part harmony with rock and Americana, the Philadelphia-based trio achieves a style that resonates with fans of Ryan Adams as well as Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Since their inception in 2010, The End of America has recorded and released two EPs and a single, performed at festivals including SXSW, Savannah Stopover, and Baltimore Folk Fest, and has performed with the likes of […]
