Here’s an opportunity for local young artists to get in on the excitement for our 2nd Annual Rock the Barn concert in May! We had a spectacular event poster last year thanks to Kayleigh Torcivia, and we’re excited to see what our creative kids can come up with for this year’s concert! RHS art students may have gotten this form from their art teacher, but the contest is open to any local youth – not just in the art classes, and not just at Ridge.

Mark your calendars for the return of music at the Ross Farm! After our successful foray into hosting music on the property in 2015, we’re thrilled to announce three more headliners coming in the next few months. We are also excited that tickets for our music events may now be purchased on our website via PayPal!
Mickelson kicks things off for us with an acoustic performance on
Sunday, April 24. The San Francisco Bay-area folk rock musician recently released his debut solo album, Flickering, which appeared on the 2015 Grammy ballot for both “Best Folk Album” and “Best Roots Music Performance.” Mickelson sings the stories of those living their lives in contemporary America, as fragmented as it is. MusicNewsNashville remarked, “Mickelson sings with aching urgency, cloaked in a dark fog that keeps his melodies balancing on the edge of unresolved, underscoring his take that life is never an all-easy road. His work is smart, moving and never overdone.” Tickets for this show are
$20 in advance or $25 at the door. Doors will open at
3:30 and music will begin around
4 p.m.
We’ll
Rock the Barn again on
May 7 with fabulous indie-pop rockers
Nick D’ and the Believers! This band emerged onto the Ohio music scene in 2013, and their “woozy, new soul” (ColumbusALIVE) was quickly recognized by critics who called the band “consistently mesmerizing” (City Beat) and “one of the fiercest live acts.” (Ted Scheineman, PASTE) Drummer Joseph Barker says, “The Believers live show is about leaving it all on the field. We put our whole hearts into the music and do our best to take the audience on the journey with us. It’s all about striving to have great moments with the audience that they can take home with them.” Tickets for Nick D’ the Believers, appearing at the Ross Farm in cooperation with Pivotal Touring and Management,
are $8 in advance, $10 at the door. The gates will open at
6:30 and music will start at about
7 p.m.
Come celebrate summer with us as
Christian Lopez returns to the Ross Farm, this time with his band on
Tuesday, June 28 – and don’t worry, this is NOT a school night! Christian was an opener for our very first Autumn Acoustic Afternoon in the barn last October, and we are ecstatic to welcome him back as the headliner for this summer set, staged outside the barn to accommodate a crowd! The Christian Lopez Band is making quite the name for itself, appearing on the acclaimed Mountain Stage in West Virginia and a number of on-line and streaming shows, and playing some of the coolest venues from Nashville to New York. Tickets for the Christian Lopez Band will be available in advance on our website for
$20, and at the door for $25. The gates will open for this show also at
6:30, with music starting at about
7 p.m.
We’ll be announcing openers for these shows soon, and perhaps a few other goodies along the way! Make sure you “like” our Facebook page so we can keep you posted about these events and others as the Ross Farm comes alive this spring!
